1. All fluids (motor oil, transmission fluid, brake fluid, antifreeze, etc.) are removed and stored in proper storage tanks for recycling or disposal by an approved fluid recycler. The gas or diesel fuel tank is drained, removed and cleaned. The fuel is recycled, used by our employees or disposed of by an approved recycler.
2. All reusable parts are removed, tested, inventoried and put away for resale.
3. Parts deemed unusable are disposed of in special recycling containers, etc.
4. The vehicle shell is stored in a yard if there are resalable body sections for repairables.
5. Eventually the body shell is crushed and sent to a metal recycling facility. From there it will end up recycled into other steel products including new vehicles and parts.
